Welcome to Updates — a space for science, notes, and news

This is a sample post. It exists to demonstrate the /updates layout and is safe to delete. Add real posts as new .mdx files in src/content/updates.

This space will hold short notes, announcements, and reflections — from research milestones and speaking engagements to thoughts on biosecurity, agricultural biotechnology, and women in STEM in Bangladesh.

How posts work

Each post is a Markdown/MDX file with a small block of frontmatter at the top:

• title — the headline shown in listings and at the top of the post
• date — an ISO date used for ordering and the RSS feed
• description — a one-line summary for previews and search engines
• tags — a short list used for filtering
• sample — set to true only for placeholder content like this

What you can write

You can use everyday Markdown — bold, italics, lists, and links — and it renders cleanly in both light and dark themes.

When you are ready, delete this file and publish the first real update.
